External Transfer is an online banking service that lets you quickly and easily transfer money between your CommunityBank of Texas accounts and accounts you have at other financial institutions.

Is there a difference between transfers and External transfers?
Yes, transfers are internal transfers between your accounts at CommunityBank and External Transfers allows you to transfer between accounts at other Financial Institutions.
How many accounts can I enroll?
You may enroll up to 3 DDA or Savings accounts. You cannot transfer to Loans.
How long will it be before I can access the funds at the other financial institution?
There is an enrollment period. You will need to verify that you are an owner on the other account by completing the verification process. You have up to 7 days to complete your enrollment. Verification instructions will be displayed to you during the enrollment process. Once verification is complete and approved by CommunityBank then you may begin using the service.
Once the external accounts have been verified, they will be available to you to transfer under the Transfer screen.
What is the cutoff time from initiating transfers?
Transfers initiated before 1:00 PM, Monday – Friday*: Same day available to both CommunityBank of Texas accounts and External accounts.
Transfers initiated after 1:00 PM but before 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday*: Next day available to both CommunityBank of Texas and External accounts
Transfers initiated after cutoff time will be completed next business day*.

Is there a limit to the number of transfers?
There is a limit of up to three transfers per day not to exceed $2,000.00.
Is there a fee for this service?
There is no fee for this service.
Can I cancel a transfer?
One-time immediate transfers cannot be canceled. Future dated and recurring transfers may be canceled prior to the scheduled transfer date. If the transfer is In Process, Pending or Processed you cannot cancel the transfer.
- For Consumer accounts only – no Business account access
- Must be a Community XPress Banking customer
- Must have established account for more than 30 days.
- You must be an owner on the account at the other Financial Institution.
- Account must be in good standing – no NSFs in the last 90-day period.
- No Start Fresh accounts or accounts that have signed a Fresh Start agreement.
